Port of Kapellskar

Harbour Information, Terminals and Facilities
(Kapellskar, Stockholms Lan, Sweden)

Located to the northeast of Stockholm, the Port of Kapellskar is an important gateway into Sweden and is used by about 1.5 million passengers per year. In addition, more than two million tonnes of cargo is shifted through the port.

Port facilities at the passenger terminal are fairly limited and include a convenience store, a café, and public telephones.

Disabled people are also catered for at the terminal, where wide aisles and adapted toilets have been employed throughout the building. There is also a free car park outside the ferry terminal.

Ferry Services

There are four quays at the port of Kapellskar, with Quay 2 providing services to the island of Aland, Finland, and Quays 3 and 4 running to Turku on mainland Finland.

These two services are operated by Viking Line, with daily sailings to Mariehamn on Aland Island, and onward connections to Turku. There is also a direct service to Turku from Kapellskar in the summer.
